Dear Sir or Madam,
I am reaching out to you on behalf of Czexpats in Science, an organization that strives to inspire and enhance the Czech scientific environment by leveraging the potential of the community centered around the Czech science diaspora.
It is my great honor to invite you to the next PI Forum, which will take place on February 25 at 6:30 PM in Prague, with the topic "Data and computing infrastructures for everyone". We are pleased to welcome our invited guests, Marian Novotný (ELIXIR CZ & Faculty of Science, Charles University) and Zdeněk Mašín (Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University). You can find more details in the attached flyer.
We would greatly appreciate it if you could share information about the PI Forum with principal investigators at your institution. We believe this is an excellent opportunity for them to expand their perspectives, establish new connections, and explore potential collaborations. Our meetings have already been attended by over 160 scientists, including several prestigious grant holders (e.g., ERC), from various universities and institutes of the Czech Academy of Sciences - many of whom return regularly.
The PI Forum, organized in collaboration with Charles University, is a platform for principal investigators working in Czechia. These meetings are open to anyone leading an independent research group leader in any scientific field, regardless of age, experience, institution, or nationality. The PI Forum serves as a space for sharing experiences and best practices, building new professional connections, and providing mutual support and inspiration. Since last spring, PI Forum meetings have been held not only in Prague but also in Brno, in collaboration with Masaryk University and CEITEC.
We invite you to visit our website to explore our other activities. In the 2024/25 academic year, there will still be three meetings in Prague and one in Brno.
If you have any questions regarding the PI Forum or any of our other initiatives, please do not hesitate to contact me directly or reach out to our director, Matouš Glanc (matous...@czexpats.org).
On behalf of the Czexpats in Science team,
Hana Dědičová
