Dear ESEB member,
The Election Committee of ESEB is charged with nominating two
candidates for the position of President and two candidates
for the position of Vice President. The membership will then
vote on these nominations early in 2025. We are now inviting
all members to suggest individuals who they would like to be
considered for nomination.
Nominated candidates should have a strong scientific research
background and must be internationally well-respected members
of the evolutionary biology community in general, and ESEB in
particular. ESEB is working to increase diversity across all
its activities, so we especially encourage suggestions for
candidates from under-represented groups, approaches,
institutions and locations.
This open process starts on November 11 and runs
until November 29, 2024. Each ESEB member can suggest
one name for each one of the two posts (President and Vice
President).
Please send your suggestions as reply to this email to Ute
Friedrich at the ESEB office (off...@eseb.org),
indicating name and affiliation (institution and country) of
your candidate(s), and for which position the person should be
considered. The resulting long list will be forwarded to the
election committee.
