Hello NAIGC,

I would like to nominate the following people for the NAIGC Board.

  • Olivia Ragoowanski: Olivia stepped into the role of Nationals Coordinator this year, a huge undertaking which involves managing relationships with our Nationals convention center, hotels, and equipment supplier. Last month while the Board was considering whether to cancel Nationals, Olivia was in daily contact with the Rhode Island hotels and convention center, advocating on behalf of the NAIGC and ensuring we withdrew from our contracts without creating financial liability to the organization. She also works with NTS on researching future Nationals locations and bringing a few exciting options to the board to vote on.

  • Krista Bartolomucci Krista served as our legal counsel this year. During the decision to cancel Nationals, she provided insights into our contracts and worked alongside Olivia and our crisis management task force to ensure we did what was best for our members while minimizing risk to the organization. Krista is highly professional and her legal expertise is an invaluable asset to the organization

  • Kaitlyn Townsend Kaitlyn chaired our growth and outreach committee this year. She spearheaded the new club financial aid initiative, and her committee developed a lot of resources for new clubs and worked to build ties in the gymnastics community that will help support our clubs down the road. Kaitlyn is a very strategic thinker and has worked with the committee set 1/3/5 year goals and metrics for success. She would be very successful in a board role

  • Alli Tran Alli has been the Midwest Regional Coordinator for several years, and this year she stepped into a board role and also chaired the event management committee. As chair Alli oversaw the organizing of internal Nationals logistics including an overhaul on how we were planning to conduct the banquet and the awards presentation at Nationals. Alli was exemplary in her duties as a board member. She was vocal at board meetings about ensuring each decision we made balanced the interests of all our members, both those who desire a more traditional competitive experience and those who push us to create new and different opportunities
I was very fortunate to work with a huge number of driven and motivated people this past year, and I would like to second everyone who has been nominated so far. That said the NAIGC Board always needs fresh ideas and motivated go-getters. Being on the Board is an incredibly fun and rewarding way to give back to the organization. In addition to Board positions, there are a wide variety of Operations Roles ranging from helping run Nationals, to growth and outreach to software development and everything in between. There are also new Regional Representative roles that serve as a vital liaison between our member clubs and the board.

The NAIGC is driven by the contribution of our many volunteers, please consider applying! More information about board, operations, and regional positions can be found here:  https://naigc.org/elections-2020/

For the Love of the Sport,
Tim
