Support the NFB through the Bay Bridge Walk

Dear Federation Family,
As many of you know, Merry and I are relocating to Pasadena, Maryland to be closer to our daughter and her family. We will be traveling to Baltimore This coming week to purchase our new home. Coincidentally, the National Federation of the Blind is participating in the Bay Bridge Walk to raise funds for our organization. Our entire Maryland family – Aislinn, Jeff, Archer, Merry & I – will walk the 10K trek across the Bay bridge spanning the Chesapeake Bay. Each participant is asked to raise at least $500. We would appreciate your support on this endeavor.

Thank you so much for sharing your exciting news and for all that you and Merry continue to do for the Federation. We wish you both the very best with your upcoming move and your participation in the Bay Bridge Walk — what a wonderful way to support our movement and spend time with family!
That said, I’d like to gently remind everyone that the NAGDU discussion list is intended specifically for topics related to guide dogs and issues affecting guide dog users. While this is a great cause and a Federation activity, fundraising announcements fall outside the intended purpose of our listserv, unless they are directly raising funds for NAGDU. Official messages from our national organization are also allowed and not by individuals unless they are cleared first by the board.
We truly appreciate your enthusiasm and continued commitment to the Federation’s work, and we wish you every success with your walk and your new home!
