Uber charged me a cleaning fee

Uber charged me a cleaning fee.  Where do I go to get it taken off?  Igloo lay quietly on the floor the whole time, and he is well-groomed always.  I’m annoyed.

Good morning Tracy, sorry this happened to you. Some drivers like to profit off of anything they can I believe.
First open your Uber app and navigate to the bottom right hand corner where account is if you’re using an iPhone. It may be different if using android.
Next, scroll down until you hear help or see help tap on that to open it. There will be a picker. It’ll say ride or eats. If you flick up, it’ll go to eat. It should automatically be on rides.
After this, you can scroll down to the ride that you took and report a concern which will have all kinds of questions for you to answer as well as an edit field to put in your comments.
Be sure that you are clear that you are using a legitimate service dog or guide dog. That is highly trained and regularly groomed. If the driver did not provide any photos, showing proof most likely, you will get your money back. I have not had to do this for probably a year or more lately.

Hi Scot.

I am in the Help tab, and I found my trip, the first of the day, but I don’t see where to put in my issue.  Customer Support?  Safety issue?

This is where I don’t remember which section contained the area you need. You may have to click in there and back out if you don’t see what you need in both areas. I believe it is report a safety concern, but I might be wrong.

OK. 

I picked Safety Issue, and then “My driver discriminated against me”, and wrote my comments.  We’ll see what happens.

I knew it was too good to be true that I could take several Uber trips in a week and not have some stupid problem.

Hello Tracy. I am sorry that this happened to you. Please if you can, send an email to uber-f...@nagdu.org after the complaint is resolved and let us know the experience of this resolution. As in, do you feel it was handled, ignored, treated as a canned complaint, ETC.

I got a refund of the fee.
