I am giving Igloo 2 fish oil capsules a day, 1 with each meal.  He loves them, and the vet says they could be helpful.

I was giving Krokus Cosaquin with Egg Whites, but I started when he was older, 9 or 10.It was fairly expensive.  He was also getting the fish oil.

I buy the fish oil from Chewy.

Subject: [NAGDU-Discuss] Joint Supplements

Hi All,

With my previous guide dogs, I would give them Flax Seed Oil to assist with there joints once they reached 5 years old. What are others using for this?

I give Iowa one 1000 IU fish oil cap once a day, along with probiotic granules. Both my previous labs have had trouble digest the Dasuquin supplied by my school, so I haven’t done it with my current dog yet. He’s three, so I am  not going to make a decision  about adding something else yet and my vet said the fish oil supplement is a good alternative for now.
