When I reply to a list message, the only address I see in the to line is the sender of the message. I have to add the list address in. Is that how it’s supposed to work? Is that why the list is so quiet?

OK, that worked. The last message I replied to it didn’t, but I guess that actually was private. It’s not so easy to tell. Unless of course the sender didn’t realize she had to reply all.

The new/Google Groups way makes sense – if you just reply, you should reply only to the sender, but if you reply-all, you should reply to the entire list. the MailMan system that required you to reply all, then copy the individual’s email from the cc field, then paste it over the list in the to field if you only wanted to reply to one person made no sense.

I agree with Cindy. It’s hard to tell a list message from a private message without some indicator it’s coming from the list.

It would also be nice if the subject went back to having [nagdu] in it.
