Today I was walking down a quiet block, heading to the dentist, and Igloo stopped, indicating something was blocking our path. I felt something brush my foot and reached down, expecting a small dog or something, though Igs wasn’t acting like there was an animal around. I found a sneaker, with a foot inside! I guess a guy was lying across the sidewalk, looking under the car that was next to us. He never said a word. I told Igloo to Hopp up, and he moved aside a bit to clear the guy and we were on our way.
I don’t think I’ve ever had a foot obstacle before, though in New York City I have had dogs walk around people resting on the sidewalk or subway hall.
Even after 45 years of dog use, there’s always something new.

You just never know what you will encounter while walking.
