Dear all,

I try to install G4beamline 3.08 on our new HPC cluster, but it hangs on
the same issue as described in this post:

https://groups.google.com/a/muonsinc.com/g/g4beamline/c/PS88TouIFs0/m/bZscK31EBgAJ

g4beamline/3.08/G4beamline-3.08-source/g4bl
/BLCMDphysics.cc: In member function ‘G4VProcess*
TrackTimeLimiter::clone()’: g4beamline/3.08/G4beamline-3.08-source/g4bl/BLCMDphysics.cc:152:64: error: use of deleted function
‘TrackTimeLimiter::Track
TimeLimiter(const TrackTimeLimiter&)’
152 | G4VProcess *clone() { return new TrackTimeLimiter(*this);
}
| ^

I am not sure what drives this error - is it the compiler (gcc15.2.0), or
the GEANT4 version 4.11.4.1 (why?)? In the post it is suggested to
downgrade GEANT4 to 4.11.0.2, but in the output I do not see any reference
to GEANT4-Files.

I also currently have only Qt6 available on the cluster, so I changed all
instances of Qt5 to Qt6 in the CMakelists.txt in the subdirectories
g4bl/, g4bldata/ and g4blgui. The cmake-command ran fine at the
configure-stage, but when doing cmake --build, I get the error reported
above.

Are there any ideas to overcome this problem? ChatGPT had some
suggestions on changing the line

G4VProcess (clone)= { return new TrackTimeLimiter(*this); }

in BLCMDphysics.cc

, but they did not work at all...

OS of the cluster is Ubuntu 22.04.5.

Cheers,

Stefan
