Dear all,

We are simulating a photon beam passing through a collimator and simple window, using a custom beam file. While 10K particles gave poor statistics, increasing to 10M produced ~1–2 TB output files (mainly newParticles and beamLoss), making processing and file transfer impractical.

Is there a recommended method to reduce the output size?

Input files attached for reference

Thank you,
Yotam and Ophir

Dear Yotam,

How useful do you find those large files? Do you really need the full newParticles and beamLoss ntuples, or could you generate more targeted output somehow?
