Hey Padres Committees!

You are some of the super users and I'd like to harness your strength as we build some momentum with our Padres Fall Campaign.

If you're not aware, Padres is trying to show the school we can successfully fundraise. Yes, this is a social experiment, so our goals are small to start. Furthermore, given their restrictions on fundraising requests, this needs to happen primarily offline. So that means if each of you can ask one friend, even better.

Many have asked for more specifics. See below.

$25k may seem like a lot, but it's not compared to what most other schools can raise (they typically get $200-400 donations per family). So lets really try to get there! But don't feel that you need to give a lot. With 500 families we can get to our goal.

We just need to set an example and tell our friends. And post in your committee whatsapps.

Donate today! (And be sure to click anonymous if you don't want your name showing up.)

If you have any questions, just let me know.

Cheers,
Ori

Our goals include:

1) The major Padres fundraising goal this year is to support expeditionary learning and field work through field trips that may not normally be possible (museums, shows, transportation).

2) A significant fraction of this includes helping the 5th Grade meet their own internal $25K goal. Once they hit that, we roll over to other classes, including tickets, museums, and transportation.

3) Subsidizing Padres social and community building events, including food and free tickets to sporting events.

4) We hope in the long term Padres will be one of the funding sources for Liaisons to support monthly teacher appreciation and individual classroom needs and Committees (yes, also you) to support your activities and events.

5) Padres Non-Profit general operating expenses.

6) Other random needs around the school (we have identified tents for caregivers at playground and basketball hoops in the back).
