Troubleshooting question for AthenaII 3d printer

Hello,

My name is Rachel. I got your email from the AthenaII page on Appropedia, and I'm hoping that you can help me to troubleshoot an issue that I'm dealing with while trying to use my printer. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!

I built my AthenaII printer at a workshop in 2019, and although I've kept it in good condition since then, it's been a few years since I've tried to use it. I cleaned it up today in the hopes of printing some new models, but I'm now running into issues and am hoping that you can help.

The main wall I'm running into is that when I try to bring up the AthenaII home page via the address I was given at the workshop (http://192.168.76.2/), my browser tells me that it's unable to connect. Similarly, another address I have saved from the workshop (http://192.168.76.2:8000/) is also unable to load. Without being able to access the basic interface for the printer, I'm stuck on what to do next.

Do you know if the home page for the AthenaII printer is still up somewhere, possibly at a different web address, or if there's some sort of workaround for accessing the printer's basic interface? It would be a big help to know either way, so that even if there's nothing I can do at this point, I'll still be able to save myself from spending additional time on this. Again, thank you so much for the help.

Hello Rachel, thanks for reaching out,I too I got a dremel 3453D printer ,im having issues  with  bedleveling,if I can get an automatic bedlevelling ABL sensor,I will be soo grateful 🙏  .Thanks Sunday

Hi Rachel,

The web interface runs on your AthenaII - not somewhere on the internet - so the address for it is going to be the local address of your AthenaII. Historically, that's hard-coded to the address you mentioned. In order for your computer to connect to it and view the web interface, the printer must be connected to the same network as your computer. The easiest way to do this is to use an ethernet cable to connect your AthenaII to your computer. This is described in the initial setup section. 

If you want to connect to your Wi-Fi router instead, there are instructions linked on that page. If you have it connected and you're still having issues, it may be that your computer is in a different subnet than 192.168.76.x. If that's the case, you'll need to fix that. On your computer (assuming you're running Windows) follow these instructions to change the IP address on your ethernet adapter to be in the same subnet - but NOT the same address. For example, 192.168.76.3. Note that setting the IP address of your ethernet adapter can prevent your ethernet port from connecting to other networks in the future for the same reason, so take notes on what you change so that you can undo it later.

Once you've got that done, you should be able to connect.
