Observable notebooks in PL Reading Group this week

The programming languages reading group at Macquarie University, Department of Computing meets on (most) Fridays from 4pm in 9WW357 (formerly E6A357). All welcome. The reading group home page is at:

Our current topic is:
Observable notebooks
On October 12 we will look at the Observable JavaScript notebook platform [1].
Compared to other notebook systems such as Jupyter, the Observable platform is notable because it automatically re-evaluates cells based on dependencies, which removes ordering and re-evaluation errors.
