Hello!

As of Firefox Desktop 133.0b3, Glean pings sent from Firefox Desktop installs on the beta channel will now contain the beta suffix (the "b3" part that changes based on the beta number[1]). Prior to this, Nightly builds would report the Nightly suffix (the static "a1") but all of Beta, DevEdition, ESR, and Release would be unsuffixed.

As always this plays nicely with our UDFs so e.g. `mozfun.norm.truncate_version(client_info.app_display_version, 'major')` on 133.0b3 will still return `133`.

We don't expect anyone to have to take any action as a result of this. We only mention this in case you were looking at the data and wondering why this started happening all of a sudden. For more details please peruse the bug[2]. For any questions, please find us on #glean:mozilla.org[3].
