Dear all

The purpose of this e-mail is to notify you of GlobalSign's intent to provide reselling services to Chunghwa Telecom, whose roots were distrusted on August 1 2025. We are sharing this plan for your information and welcome any questions or suggestions you might have.

As of September 30, 2025, Chunghwa Telecom will commence reselling GlobalSign certificates. These certificates will be issued from the GlobalSign-hosted issuing CA with Subject DN O = Chunghwa Telecom Co., Ltd. and C = TW.

Chunghwa Telecom will solely act as a reseller of GlobalSign certificates: all validation activities, certificate issuance, key management, revocation and certificate status services will be performed by GlobalSign. There will be no transfer of key material.
