URLs to the PDFs of WebTrust Audit Statements are being changed

All,

Between 5pm and 10pm Eastern today, CPA Canada will be updating their system such that the current URLs to WebTrust audit statements in pdf form will stop working. After CPA Canada has updated their system and the API that they provide to the CCADB for integration, we will update the CCADB data and metadata to have/use their new URLs. The CCADB home page has an “Under Construction” notice about this.

Tomorrow I will respond here to let you know when the CCADB data and metadata has been updated.

I received this from CPA Canada: "Due to some unforeseen issues, we could not go LIVE with the changes."

So the existing URLs to the PDFs of WebTrust audit statements continue to work.

We are leaving the message on the CCADB homepage until we receive further information about their plans.

Update from CPA Canada: We are not going LIVE  for a few days

We will take the "Under Construction" notice down from the CCADB homepage for now, and put it back up when CPA Canada is ready to try their deployment to production again.

CPA Canada is planning to update their production systems starting today at 5pm Eastern (New York) time. During their update, the current URLs to WebTrust audit statements in PDF form will stop working.  Tomorrow we will update the integration between the CCADB and CPA Canada.

We have posted an "UNDER CONSTRUCTION" message about this on the CCADB home page. We will update that message and I will post a response here when the new URLs to WebTrust audit statements in PDF form are available in the CCADB.

CPA Canada has rolled back their changes. The current URLs will continue working for now.

It sounds like they plan to attempt the migration again the last week of November.

Status update: The CCADB has the new URLs to the WebTrust audit statements in pdf form, and you may proceed with using the ALV in the CCADB today if needed. However, during testing we noticed a couple of problems that CPA Canada is looking into, so we will keep the "Under Construction" notice on the CCADB home page for now.

The concerns with the new CPA Canada pdf URLs have been resolved, so the new URLs may be used now.

By tomorrow we will change the "under construction" notice in the CCADB to an "update notice" which will say:

CPA Canada has updated their system such that the previous URLs to WebTrust audit statements in pdf form no longer work. The CCADB data and metadata has been updated with their new URLs. If you have stored the previous URLs to the pdf form of WebTrust audit statements, you will need to update your data with the new URLs.

We will remove the “Update Notice” from the CCADB home page next week.

The CCADB Release Notes have also been updated with information about this change.
