MRSP 3.1: Planned Effective Date of 7/1/2026

All,

We previously indicated an anticipated effective date for the Mozilla Root Store Policy (MRSP) version 3.1 of June 15, 2026. However, based on feedback received, follow-up discussions, and the time needed to complete final review and supporting documentation, we have revised the effective date to July 1, 2026.

This additional time will allow us to complete internal review processes and finalize companion guidance related to CP/CPS Documentation and Detailed Controls Reports (DCRs).  

At this time, we do not anticipate any substantive changes to the overall direction of the proposed policy. 

We will provide additional updates regarding the publication of MRSP v3.1 as they occur.
