Just as a bit of information: if an nsIFoo XPIDL interface is not marked [scriptable], then it is entirely invisible to JS, so it can't be implemented by JS, and thus the [builtinclass] attribute is redundant. I've gone through and removed most of the places that do this in bug 1792357, and hopefully in the next few weeks I'll turn this into an error with bug 1792356. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause.
