Hello all,
I'm glad to inform you that symbol information for macOS system
libraries are now being scraped automatically. From now on crashes
involving libraries of new versions of macOS will now have proper stacks
with functions names and all, within 24 hours of release. This applies
to both full releases as well as betas and seeds. Old versions used on
TaskCluster (like 10.15) will also get new symbols, solving another long
standing issue.
This was a long time coming, with our scraper having stopped working
around the release of macOS 11, so I'd like to personally thank Nishu
Sheth for completing this work and our former colleague Steven Michaud
who did the scraping manually and sent us the results for upload - for
years - so that we could keep analyzing crashes.
