Summary:

Custom Highlight API provides a mechanism for styling arbitrary ranges of a document identified by script. It is currently being developed behind the pref dom.customHighlightAPI.enabled.

Hi folks,

As of today, partial support for Custom Highlight API is enabled on Firefox Nightly (See Bug 1840818).
The implementation is not feature complete yet. In particular, these features are missing:

- spelling-error / grammar-error
- text-decorations / text shadow
- events
- support for getComputedStyle()
