As of 20 March, 2026, I intend to turn multi-color color-mix() on by default on all platforms. It has been developed behind the  "layout.css.color-mix-multi-color.enabled" preference. Other browsers have not shipped this feature yet.

The feature allows 1 or more colors in the color-mix() function in CSS, e.g.

color-mix(in srgb, red 50%, green, blue)
color-mix(in srgb, red)

Bug to turn on by defaulthttps://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=2024171

Standard: https://drafts.csswg.org/css-color-5/#color-mix

I'm trying to find the intent-to-prototype thread associated with this change but my Google-fu is failing; are you able to point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
