I joined this family in early Netscape under OS/2. Two password things
seemed to be kinda promised but never happened.

Best I can determine, "edit" and "new" never worked.

Password management sorts by domain, thereby establishing that it is
possible. However, every process I have encountered, to dump to a
workable file, sorted by line. That scattered a domain's multiple entry
points over the file.

For me, a printed copy is a reference document and also a markup
document for data management.

Would it be a big deal for you to provide a way to dump the file sorted
by domain?

Hello Ray,

Thanks for reaching out. The logins export is a CSV file. If you'd like to organize it by any of the fields in the CSV, such as the domain, I might suggest simply importing the CSV file into a spreadsheet application.

If you'd like to suggest adding this feature to the logins export tool in Firefox, you could file a bug on Bugzilla against the Firefox product and about:logins component here: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Firefox&component=about%3Alogins

Another place you can discuss feature or product ideas with the Mozilla staff and community is on Mozilla Connect: https://connect.mozilla.org.

Hope this helps. Thanks for being a longtime Firefox user!

Cheers,

Jared

I've never had a problem with them, and I just tested and Edit and New worked without a problem.

Please give them another try and file a bug if there is a problem in your environment.
