·        Mozilla extensions install via Intune - 1 Update

Mike Kaply <mka...@mozilla.com>: May 01 08:56AM -0400

So you're defaulting to allowed for everything, so you don't need "allowed"
for the individual addons. That's only needed if you're blocking everything.

You also were missing some quotes and had some unnecessary brackets.

Here's what your ExtensionSettings would look like if you were blocking
everything but the few you allow:

{
"*": {
"installation_mode": "blocked"
},
"{a6fd85ed-e919-4a43-a5af-8da18bda539f}": {
"installation_mode": "allowed"
},
"{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}": {
"installation_mode": "allowed"
},
"sentinelone...@sentinelone.com": {
"installation_mode": " force_installed ",
"install_url":
"file:///C:/Program%20Files/SentinelOne/Sentinel%20Agent%
23.4.4.223/sentinelone-firefox-extension.xpi
"
}
}

If this doesn't work, you can navigate to about:policies in the browser and
see what the error is

Yeah, I am checking but don’t any errors related to the extension.  Thank you for your prompt response.

Not sure if there is any conflict with the Intune settings I am deploying.

I tried deploying Device settings – no luck.

Deployed User setting – No luck.

Deployed both Device and User settings – no luck.  Cannot pinpoint what I am doing wrong.

Thanks,

Yes, machine just received policy.  See the error “Invalid parameters specified for Extensions”

You helped me with this setting:

{
"*": {
"installation_mode": "blocked"
},
"{a6fd85ed-e919-4a43-a5af-8da18bda539f}": {
"installation_mode": "allowed"
},
"{73a6fe31-595d-460b-a920-fcc0f8843232}": {
"installation_mode": "allowed"
},
"sentinelone...@sentinelone.com": {
"installation_mode": " force_installed ",
"install_url":
"file:///C:/Program%20Files/SentinelOne/Sentinel%20Agent%
23.4.4.223/sentinelone-firefox-extension.xpi
"
}
}

I know is different from the error message, I am trying the setting above that you sent me next to see if that works.  The problem is that it takes several hours for intune policy to hit my machine.

there's some extra stuff after the file name that probably is breaking it - [23.4.4.223]

See the attachment.

it might be easier to try to get it working using local group policy first.

let me know if you want to schedule a call next week and we can work together to figure it out

Hi Mike,

I really appreciate your help today.  I have tested the suggestion to install the extensions and did not work for me.

Thanks,

Hi Ricardo,
URL decoded string from your config in first e-mail
"file:///C:/Program%20Files/SentinelOne/Sentinel%20Agent%
23.4.4.223/sentinelone-firefox-extension.xpi"

means

"file:///C:/Program Files/SentinelOne/Sentinel Agent#.4.4.223/sentinelone-firefox-extension.xpi"

Isn't there extraneous # in path?

Jaroslav
