Facebook Messenger audio/video chats weirdness

Hi there,
    I have a client using FF for Facebook and (now that the separate messenger app has been discontinued) they were trying to do an audio/video chat with their contacts.  It works fine when they start a chat with a group of people (through a chat group in Messenger) but not when she tries to start a chat with one person (then it says the browser isn't compatible).  I notice there is a bug report (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1896361) but that's with FF 142, so I'm not sure if it's related. 
    Any ideas?
