Hi,

The “fuzzy” selector for the mach try command was introduced as an alternative to try syntax in 2017 (https://groups.google.com/g/mozilla.dev.platform/c/x8vs5qGpGkM/m/yKGTt6IYBQAJ).  Since then it’s pretty much replaced all uses of try syntax, whereas the old syntax selector has not been kept up to date with changes to CI configurations, and is almost unused.  So after a good run, it’s time for the try syntax to bow out; as of bug 1648719, now on autoland, `./mach try syntax` is no more.

Cheers,
Julien

There's also `./mach try chooser` which was aimed to replace the old "try syntax chooser" page for folks who don't enjoy the fzf interface, though it's much less precise in what you can select.
