Hi all,
In
Bug 2014735
I've landed a change to always use the parent binary (i.e. firefox.exe for Firefox) for all child processes on Windows Nightly.
This only affects GMP as it is the only remaining user of plugin-container.exe.
This is controlled by the pref: dom.ipc.alwaysUseParentBinary
If you see any issues with Widevine or Openh264 that are caused by this, please file them as regressions to Bug 2014735 and blocking
Bug 2014698
.
Thanks,
Bob

Well that didn't last long.
This has been disabled by default after
Bug 2016525
was reported.
