to stability, crash-reporting-wg
Hello all,
since we won't be mee ting in person this summer I thought it might be a
good idea to revive the virtual all-hands format to have a discussion
about the next steps. In the past twelve months we've done a tremendous
amount of work, building on top of the overhaul we started in 2019, and
now most of the systems we use are significantly better than the systems
they replaced. This means that it's time to move on and leverage those
new systems, from Glean crash pings to the diagnostic data obtained via
memory testing, we've got several new ways of helping both developers
and users. Additionally, we might want to discuss how to harmonize the
systems that are adjacent with crash reporting. From background hang
detection to non-fatal errors tracking, I feel like we can further
increase the synergy of those systems and the code sharing.
I'll throw together an agenda of potential things we might want to talk
about and share it here so you can add yours. Additionally, I'd like to
know when would be the best time between June and August, or even early
September if we feel like most people would be back from their vacations
by then.
