Hi everyone,

As you have seen, David Kanter will be handing off the reins of MLPerf to a General Manager this fall. David has been a lynchpin of MLCommons’ success to date, growing the organization and especially MLPerf into the benchmark of record for measuring AI performance and efficiency. Having worked with David for a few years now, I have valued his astute understanding of our member needs, his keen insight into the full stack of the AI industry, as well as his general humor, and I’ll look forward to continuing to work with David on new initiatives in critical emerging areas of AI measurement upon his sabbatical return.

David has been central to defining the shape of what MLPerf needs to become going forward, and through that process has identified that this next phase of growth requires a skill set and market experience that look slightly different than his own. In particular, we are hoping to bring in someone with buyer-side market experience to transition MLPerf Endpoints into the fullest expression of its potential.

To that end, we will be opening the role for a General Manager for MLPerf immediately. As all of you in our community know us best, we would deeply appreciate your recommendations and referrals for this role.

Best,

Rebecca
