Hi Everyone,

Thank you for joining us at the 2Q23 MLCommons community meeting. It was great to see so many of you both in person and online. We changed up the format to focus on shorter updates online, with more in-person discussion, based in part on your feedback to the last meeting. This time around we got the recordings posted on YouTube in two parts: Part 1 and Part 2.

Thanks to Nathan and Kelly for pulling the YouTube recording together, and to Kelly and Anita for planning the meeting!

During the meeting we shared some recent MLCommons highlights:

• New MLPerf benchmark results for Q2
• MLPerf Training results include the new GPT3-175B large language model and DLRM-DCNv2 recommender
• MLPerf Tiny results with many new submitters
• You can find the briefing on YouTube, and the results, submitter summaries and other material in a public google drive
• MedPerf published a vision paper in Nature
• The Chakra WG - focused on simulation friendly tools for ML launched

We celebrated our 2Q23 MLCommons Heros for their important contributions to our work. Thank you again to Anh, Pierre, Jos, Newsha, and Praveen for your contributions:

• Anh Nguyen - Key contributions to MLPerf Mobile including new benchmarks, UI, results portal
  
• Pierre Marcenac & Jos van der Velde - Croissant format converted and validator in the Datasets WG 
  
• Newsha Ardlani & Praveen Paritosh - DataPerf leadership and launch

Last, a big thanks to the AMD team for hosting us! Ashley, Clarice, Derek, Miriam, and Ramine - we appreciate your efforts and hospitality. This was absolutely critical for our success.

As a heads up, we are going to be doing a smaller and more focused social event for Q3, in part because we anticipate doing events in Asia to connect with our members there.
