Hi Everyone,

Thank you for joining us at the recent MLCommons community meeting. It was great to see so many of you both in person and online - especially since you are what makes MLCommons amazing!

Your time is valuable and we very much appreciate you joining and engaging with the group. We changed up a few things this time around and would like your feedback on the community meeting.  What worked, what didn't work so well and any other comments we should hear.  Please take a few minutes and complete this survey to help guide future gatherings: Community Meeting Survey (thanks to Kelly for putting this together!).

During the meeting we shared some recent MLCommons highlights:

• We started the Auto Benchmark Taskforce with AVCC with whom we'll partner to create dedicated inference benchmarks for automotive (email me for more info!)

• We announced the 2023 DataPerf challenges - Data-centric ML benchmarking: Announcing DataPerf’s 2023 challenges – Google AI Blog. 

• We soft launched the MLCommons - YouTube channel where we will post videos of our meetings, talks and briefings.

• We launched the Dollar Street datasets for diversity.

• McKinsey published a white paper on AI development based on the join McKinsey/MLCommons article Perspective: Unlocking ML requires an ecosystem approach.

• We delivered the MLPerf Inference v3.0 Results with over 6,700 performance results including >2,400 power measurement results. Our outreach efforts garnered 60+ articles across tech, business and local press.

We celebrated our 1Q23 MLCommons Heros for their important contributions to our work. Thank you again to Pablo, Oana and Lilith for your contributions.

• Pablo Gonzalez Mesa who heroically landed MLPerf Inference despite many challenges and being awesome.
• Oana Balmau for her superb leadership, dedication, and enthusiasm for MLPerf Storage.
• Lilith Bat-Leah for her amazing volunteer spirit, building the DataPerf webpage, outreach, ICML workshop, and tireless organization 

In addition, we welcomed new board members and Working Group chairs who are critical to helping us achieve our mission of accelerating machine learning innovation to benefit everyone.  Please join me in welcoming them.
