Good afternoon,

Summer heat is here and thermometers aren’t the only thing climbing—so are energy bills! The Office of the Ohio Consumers’ Counsel (OCC) offers a wealth of information to help you understand your electricity bill and provides tips to help you beat the heat while keeping your electric bill as low as possible

With the rising energy prices, you may be looking to see if you can pay less per kWh. Marketers may claim to save you money but you could end up paying more! Local governmental aggregation may offer savings, but it is not guaranteed. OCC offers resources to help you better understand this process and decide if you should choose and if so, how to make that choice.

It also helps to understand your electric bill and know where your money goes. Check out OCC’s NEW webpage: Understanding Your Ohio Electric Bill: Where Your Money Goes at https://www.occ.ohio.gov/content/understanding-your-ohio-electric-bill-where-your-money-goes.

All the above information can be found on OCC’s website at: www.occ.ohio.gov. And, presentations are available on these and other utility topics.

Continued thanks for all you do!

Amy
