Good morning,

The Summer Crisis Program started Wed., July 1 and is available through September 30, 2026 to provide assistance for eligible Ohioans with electric utility bills, central air conditioning repairs, and/or the purchase of an air conditioning unit or fan. The benefits can only be used once per cooling season.

Contact your local community action agency for more information and to apply.

OCC’s Summer Crisis Program fact sheet also provides information. It is available, along with many other fact sheets, under Publications at www.occ.ohio.gov. It is also available on OCC’s Consumer Assistance page at www.occ.ohio.gov/utilityassistance.

Attached is a flyer you can post and a PNG suitable for social media.

.

Presentations are available on this and many other utility topics including disconnection and reconnection rights, avoiding utility scams, understanding Energy Choice, and ways to save money on utility bills this summer.

If you have questions or are interested in scheduling, please contact me at (614) 387-2962 or Amy.C...@occ.ohio.gov after July 6th.

Continued thanks for all you do!

Amy
