As you know, AES Ohio wants to increase the delivery charges for residential consumers’ bills by $143 million over the next three years. If AES gets what it wants, in 2029 consumers’ bills would be $13.79 more a month—before any electricity is used.

The PUCO just approved a $168 million distribution rate increase (Case No. 24-1009-EL-AIR) in November 2025, on top of several other increases over the years. The PUCO Commissioners will decide whether AES Ohio’s latest proposed increase is approved.
OCC is representing the interests of AES Ohio’s residential consumers. YOUR voice matters too and makes a difference. The PUCO also needs to hear from you!
