Good afternoon and Happy Friday!

OCC is excited to announce we have more ways for you and other consumers to follow us and share our information on social media.

 

Now in addition to X (formerly Twitter) and YouTube, we are also on Facebook, Bluesky, Threads and Reddit. Search for us on your favorite social media site(s) @OCC4Consumers or click on the links at the bottom of OCC’s webpage at www.occ.ohio.gov (which you can get to directly from my email signature line below).  

 

Our posts help Ohio’s residential utility consumers:

·         Lower their bills. Discover tips to save energy and cut costs. 

·         Know their rights. Learn what utilities can and can’t do, like rules for shut-offs or outages.

·         Get help paying. Updates on programs for financial help if they’re struggling with bills.

·         Avoid scams. Including tricky offers or dishonest energy marketers.

·         Stay informed. News about utility rates, laws, or hearings that affect their household and what they can do.

·         Make smart choices. Guidance on picking energy plans or suppliers to avoid bad deals.
