Hi CNCF Project Maintainers,

This is an urgent reminder regarding the sunset of the CNCF Community Cluster, supported by Equinix, as detailed in our public announcement: Thank you, Equinix Metal! The CNCF Community bids farewell to the bare metal cluster. The deadline for projects to migrate their resources was September 30, 2025.

Our records indicate your project still has active resources on this platform. All remaining infrastructure must be decommissioned to avoid service disruption.

Please be aware of the following final decommissioning schedule:

• October 2025: CNCF staff will be actively reaching out to remaining projects to assist with the final migration and shutdown of resources.
• November 21, 2025: Any remaining project resources will be manually removed by CNCF staff.

• December 31, 2025: The CNCF Community Cluster will be completely and permanently decommissioned.

Immediate action is required:

1. Prioritize Migration: If you have not already done so, please migrate your workloads to an alternative platform immediately. You can request cloud credits for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or Akamai by opening a ticket on the CNCF Service Desk.

2. Decommission Your Servers: Once migrated, please decommission all your servers on the Equinix platform.

We understand that you are busy, but this is the final phase of the shutdown. To prevent data loss and ensure a smooth transition, we urge you to take action now.
