Hi all,
We're excited to announce the July session of the Connectivity Community of Practice (CCoP), and we have a fantastic featured presentation lined up.
This session will feature Hunter Thompson, Director of Telecommunications and Connectivity for the Vermont Department of Public Service. Hunter brings 27 years of experience across IT and telecommunications, and he'll be walking us through an innovative state-level connectivity measurement initiative.
The Vermont Mobile Wireless Drive Test Program is a state-led initiative to evaluate the real-world availability and performance of mobile wireless service across Vermont. Rather than relying on coverage maps provided by cellular carriers, this program goes out and collects ground-truth data. These data give policymakers, researchers, and communities a clearer, more honest picture of what mobile connectivity actually looks like on the ground.
This is exactly the kind of practical, measurement-driven work that sits at the heart of what our community cares about, and we're looking forward to a rich discussion.
