Request for Project 4 Applicants to Confirm Project Size

Dear GSoC applicants,

We thank you again for your interest in MDAnalysis and are enjoying reviewing your proposals! We have a request for those who submitted proposals for Project 4 (Transport Property Calculations). Please confirm whether you intended your Project Size to be Medium (committing 175 hours) or Large (committing 350 hours). According to our Project Ideas page, Project 4 was intended to be a LARGE project. We realize now and apologize for any confusion that might have been caused by the project being listed as medium difficulty.

If you would like to switch your Project Size and are unable to do so yourself in the GSoC dashboard, please let us know as soon as possible. We will be unable to make these changes after April 27th.

Thank you for clarifying the intended size of Project 4.

Yes I confirm, committing 350 hours (LARGE) over the GSoC program timeline. I have the availability and am fully committed to dedicating the necessary time to implement the tasks and goals outlined in my proposal for this project.

I intend to change Project size to LARGE from MEDIUM but I am unable to do so now.

Please let me know if you need any further confirmation from me on this. I look forward to the possibility of working with MDAnalysis on this exciting project!

Dear Jenna,

Thank you for communicating this so promptly. I would like to switch my Project Size to Large (350 hours). I agree that the larger size is a better fit for reaching the stretch goals I discussed with the mentors, and given the ambitious nature of the project, I had planned on making that commitment either way.

Like Pratham, I am unable to make this change in the GSoC dashboard as the submission deadline has passed, so please take this as my confirmation in writing.

For those who indicated they wanted their project sizes switched to "Large", it should be corrected now in the dashboard. If this isn't the case for you, please let me know. It all looks okay on our end.
