Dear Project Manager,

I am writing to express my interest in contributing to your open source project. I am a double major at the lebanese university physic and computer science . I've been following MDanalysis from some times and start reading through the documentation after i have saw the project number 4 that take my curiosity, i read through the documentation and i am now familiar with md analysis library ,


i have a good experience in python also java , javascript because i was working in some project that use those language and i am advance in python

I would like to contribute to your project by increasing te performance of that library , which I believe would benefit to learn more about analyzing and optimization also learn more about real life project in the market , and I believe that I can offer valuable insights and contributions to your team.

As an open source enthusiast, I understand the importance of collaboration and teamwork in developing successful projects. I am excited to work alongside other members of the community to create something that can benefit others.

I am familiar with python also c++ that is using in your project , and I am willing to learn new tools or technologies that may be required for this project. I am also willing to work within the project's guidelines and contribute to its code of conduct.

also wanna ask if it may be enough to submit, the proposal here or i should also submit it in the gsoc dashboard

Hi Bakri,
welcome to MDAnalysis! Unfortunately the deadline to submit a GSoC proposals (which are normally submitted on the GSoC Dashboard) has passed. The deadline was the 4th of April (see https://developers.google.com/open-source/gsoc/timeline for the official timeline).

However, MDAnalysis is an open source code, therefore you are very welcome to contribute to the project outside of GSoC. The user guide contains a lot of information about how to start contributing to the project:
