Hi Monith,

thank you for submitting your proposal. Since you submitted a PDF, it is a bit difficult to leave comments there. Could you please submit a PDF containing a link to a Google Docs or similar, where we can make comments directly? That would be useful to have a proper back and forth between you and the mentors on your proposal.

Of course, you will have to remember to incorporate the feedback and resubmit the full proposal as a PDF before the deadline.

I have added a link to a Google Docs  to the latest proposal pdf *at bottom of the last page* and I have query, do GSOC allow *other docs format also?

Thanks Mohit, I can see the link and requested access. Please make sure it is accessible to the mentors, otherwise you will likely loose some precious time.

The GSoC website seems to only accept PDFs this year, so you can generate the PDF with anything you like (Word, LaTeX, ...). The Google Docs is just for us to give feedback. The final document will need to be uploaded as PDF, as I mentioned above.

I left some comments on your proposal, you can have a look and act on them as you see fit. You can also reply directly to the comments in the Google Doc if you have further questions. Please remember to update the proposal by April 4 - 18:00 UTC and re-submit the final version as PDF.

A general comment that can be useful to other applicants as well:

I think you should narrow the focus of your proposal. There is a lot of discussion about improving the MDAnalysis documentation, but your proposal is about the project on benchmarking and optimisation. You are of course very welcome to propose your own project about improving the documentation (although that would be more suited for Google Season of Docs), but in such case it should not be mixed with the benchmarking and optimisation project. If you want to work on the benchmarking and optimisation project, whose goal is to "increase the performance assessment coverage and identify code that should be improved", please focus on those aspects. The proposal should be rather narrow-scoped and detailed.

I have made changes and submitted new proposal to GSOC portal. On portal, the pdf contains a "  a link to a Google Docs ". And I have also provided a  "Link to new docs" on my previous proposal. Your feedback will be a great help.
