Dear mentors,
I hope this message finds you well. I will keep it short , where contributors have to submit their applications , on this group?

Thanks

Hi Mohit,
there is no specific template. However, you can find some guidance on "How to write a great application" on our GSoC Wiki: https://github.com/MDAnalysis/mdanalysis/wiki/Google-Summer-Of-Code#how-to-write-a-great-application

Best,
Rocco

Hi Mohit,

Thank you for your contributions thus far through PR #4079. Unfortunately this particular issue does not meet the requirements for being a GSoC starter.

As a friendly reminder and per our GSoC FAQcandidates must have code merged to be eligible to apply to GSoC with MDAnalysis. On the MDAnalysis repository, you can find several issues tagged with "good first issue", "Difficulty easy", or "GSoC Starter". Please bear in mind, you can only attempt one issue tagged as a GSoC Starter. Note also that we do not assign issues to people; we review the first pull request (PR) that solves an issue. Therefore, you can work on any issue you would like that does not already have an open/active PR against it. We also strongly suggest working on a single issue/PR at a time. Once you have one PR merged, you are of course welcome to tackle another issue, and so on.

Thank you again for your continued interest in the project.

Jenna

Thanks Jenna,
I read GSOC FAQ which requires to have a at least one PR merged. I have a query, that I also worked on 3993 through PR 4004 , but unfortunately the issue was wrong and my current PR is not reviewed, lastly I was very active regarding PR 4028(not my PR). Can I submit my proposal as "merging PR is must". So, I am confused whether how to make progress as deadline is coming for contributors and due to some conditions I was not fast at making PR early. But I have been active on this repository since two and half months.
Your advise may really help me to make a good decision.
Thanks
Mohit Kumar
