	McKinney STEAM Academy (MSA) SWENext Our Mercenaries on 6369 are heading an initiative to start a SWENext Club. This is the youth arm of the Society of Women Engineers. All MSA students, of all genders and ages, are welcome to join.  The first meeting will be July 27, 10am - 12pm. Our students will have a current SWE member as a guest speaker, discuss what the club entails and open applications for Club Officer roles. Join us to learn more about this amazing club! 	FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION (FRC) Applications open: See FRC page on website for details *ALL* returning students must fill out an application. If your application is not in by July 26 we can not guarantee your returning student a spot. Payment/first payment should be made by July 31. If you're not sure if your returning student has applied, reply to this email and we can check. FIRST Robotics Competition only Student Fee:  $1,600 Monthly:  $175, 10 payments from July to April FTC & FRC Dual Enrolled  Student Fee: $2,350 Monthly:  $225, 11 payments from June to April Payment can be Zelled to “fin...@McKinneySTEAMAcadmey.org” or you can use the QR code below. When prompted for "reason" please enter "FRC (or FRC/FTC) - Student Name" so we can apply it properly. CAD Training - Part 3 will be on July 20 and part 4 is TBD. Additional information here. Software Training - Module 1 and the first section of Module 2 on August 17 and the remainder of Module 2 on August 31. There will be a self paced portion in between these dates. Module 1 is designed for all students and Module 2 is the continuation for those that would like to specialize in software. Information on what will be covered, what your student needs and how to prepare is on the website. NTX Save the Date: We’re still waiting for confirmation of details but this is what we know so far. 	FIRST TECH CHALLENGE (FTC) CAD Training - Part 3 will be on July 20 and part 4 is TBD. Additional information here. Please be sure you’ve gotten payment (in full or first installment) in as over the next few days students that are new to the MSA will be getting Google Workspace login information.  Teams 17011 and 18121 are both meeting starting this week and next. The remaining teams have their times blocked on the calendar but the Coaches will be confirming start dates soon. We are 100% volunteer run. Thank you for your patience! The Tuesday Girls Team with Coaches Dan and Carolyn will begin meeting on July 30. 	FIRST LEGO LEAGUE (FLL) FLL Coach Training training July 22 and 29, 6-8pm. Our new and returning FLL coaches will be training these days.
