	McKinney STEAM Academy (MSA) Does your 6th or 7th grader want to join a FIRST Tech Challenge team next year? Consider our six part “Intro to FIRST Tech Challenge” series running February through April.  This program will introduce students to the skills and teamwork required for competing on an FTC Team.  These Friday workshops are $50 per session and can be stand-alone sessions but are ideal as a series:  Feb 9th - Part 1:  Game Strategy | Robot Driving Feb 23rd - Part 2: CAD Modeling | Robot Driving March 15th - Part 3: 3D Printing | Robot Driving March 22nd - Part 4: Coding with Java for FTC | Robot Driving April 12th - Part 5: Robot Building | Robot Driving April 26th - Part 6: FTC Scrimmage Night!  NOTE: We are opening registration first to McKinney STEAM Academy families. 	FIRST ROBOTICS COMPETITION (FRC) Ever see a Note fly? See what your FRC student is building in our photo album. View and add your photos here build/progress photo album here. We have replaced Slack with Google Workspace! This platform enhances student collaboration. We will be adding parents to two “Spaces” on our Google Chat. The “Announcements” Space is limited to important items and the “Parent Communication” Space is for open discussion and Q&A. We will be using guardian email addresses on student applications to invite parents to these spaces. Watch for these invites!    Mercenary Robotics maintains a snack cupboard in the workshop.
