Jackie Cairns Memorial

June 17, 1928 – June 27, 2024

The Celebration of Life Memorial Service for Jackie Cairns will be held on Thursday, July 18 at our church. Visitation will be 10-11 am with a service at 11 a.m. followed by lunch.

Would You Like to Become an Official Member of McFarland UCC?

We will receive new members to our congregation during Outdoor Worship on Sunday, July 21st. If you would like to join our church officially or find out more about what this means, please let Pastor Bryan know. What it means is that you want to make our congregation your "church home," and that you are going to be involved in sharing the work of being a church together. The only privilege members enjoy that non-members do not is a vote at any official congregation meetings. Beyond that, everyone is fully welcome to participate in every way whether or not they are official members. More than anything it's a way of publicly saying, "I want to be a part of this church family and make a commitment to sharing the joys and challenges of what we are and do together."

Our goal is to update our bulletin board in the fellowship area and our website with fresh photos of our vibrant community! To capture our latest events and smiling faces, we kindly request recent pictures from all. Please submit your photos to Ginger, our administrative assistant, via email or her office mailbox by August 15, 2024. Let's showcase our "Church With Heart!"

Reduce/Reuse/Recycle

This week’s Tip: Recycle: According to Statista, Americans, more than any other country, use 141 rolls of toilet paper every year, EACH person. Can you recycle the brown cardboard tubes when you finish a roll of paper towels or toilet paper? Yes! As long as the rolls are dry and clean, they can be recycled in your curbside cart as-is. One study found that the average adult uses over 100 rolls of paper towels each year. You can reduce this number by trying reusable paper towels, also known as 'Unpaper' towels, or Swedish dishcloths.
