"Tea Pouring" Service with
Jackie Schauf
Saturday, May 3rd, 5:00-7:00 p.m.
Local tea pourer Jackie Schauf (who has been attending our congregation in recent months) invites the community to UNITEA, a weekly (for the month of May) donation-based traditional tea service held at McFarland United Church of Christ. Blending the art of Gong Fu Cha with guided connection games, Jackie creates a space for presence, conversation, and heartfelt interaction. The gatherings take place Saturdays from 5–7pm during the month of May, offering a warm invitation to slow down, sip tea, and connect. I (Pastor Bryan) will be there and I hope some of you will join us!

Weekly Creation Care Topic
Reduce/Reuse/Recycle
Tip of the Week: May Day: International Workers Day & the celebration of Spring. Many countries celebrate workers' rights on May 1, which is important as the world works to transition from dirty to renewable/sustainable energies; workers will need support for retraining. Be an advocate and voice support for workers' rights to a clean/safe environment and for fair treatment; additionally, you might drop off a simple paper May basket of native flowers to a laborer (or anyone who could use a smile) to wish them a happy and healthy Spring!

A Few Words from Pastor Bryan
Hi everyone. Sigh.
I sent out a letter a little after 1 p.m. today, and that pretty much says everything I have it within me to say today. If you haven't read it yet, please do.
Here's a link to that same letter.
I am praying for and with you all, and I do hope to see you in church this Sunday.
God is with us. Love to you all,
Pastor Bryan
