I'll soon start physical therapy along with other tests and treatments that will support my long-term health, but in the meantime? I welcome your calls of joys and concerns! I'd love to listen and learn more about you, especially to pray you feel God's love and grace. Just drop me a note at my email address (rev...@mcfarlanducc.org) or call/text me anytime at 608-640-6088. Thanks! - Robert

Help raise money for wells in Uganda!
Jean Blackmore and Martha Olsen participated in the dedication and building of wells in Uganda. In September, you can join us to raise money for additional wells. The 2026 Walk-4-Water event is September 19 at McDaniel Park. The funds raised will provide safe drinking water to thousands of villagers in rural Uganda. Access to clean, safe water reduces disease and saves lives. The 2026 Walk-4-Water is the eighth year the McFarland Lutheran Church has held the event. Past fundraisers have provided for 23 wells in Uganda. This year’s goal is $57,500, enough to fund the drilling of 5 freshwater borehole wells in rural Uganda. We hope that you will join us!

Weekly Creation Care Topic
Reduce/Reuse/Recycle
August 14: Reduce: Making lots of great food this summer that you need to transport or to store leftovers, and seeking an alternative to non-recyclable plastic wrap to cover your dish? Think outside the (plastic wrap) box: reuse glass jars with lids; use aluminum foil but wash & reuse it as able (remember it can be recycled if clean & wadded into a baseball-sized ball); sometimes just setting a plate over the bowl will do the trick; or try beeswax wraps or reusable silicone stretch lids; both of these make awesome gifts. Locally, check out options at places like Willy St Co-Op or Green Life Trading to avoid shipping waste and to support a local store.
