Summer is here. We are headed to the beach, to visit family and friends, to go out into nature on a camping trip, and the list goes on. This means we reach for the easy and convenient options as we head out the door, pack our bags and cars for long rides, or head out to that picnic in the park. The prepackaged snacks, the travel-size toiletries, that plastic to-go container from our favorite restaurant. Summer doesn’t mean we need to neglect nature to have fun in the sun. It just takes a few moments from time to time to stop and consider if there is a better option out there. That is why we created the Plastic Free July Bingo Card. Print this card (after clicking the image below) and make strides to do better for yourself and the planet this year. Don’t fret if you can’t get bingo by the end of July. Just keep working on it ’til you finally get it, then aim for a total blackout!” From National Wildlife Federation

An Evening of Dances of Universal Peace

TONIGHT

Join Robin and Michael for an evening of connection, community, and solace as they lead us in powerful healing prayers on Friday, July 10 at 6:30 pm at McFarland United Church of Christ!

The Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) are a spiritual practice in motion; they draw from sacred phrases, scripture, and poetry of the world's many traditions. The Dances blend chant, live music, and evocative movement into a living experience of unity, peace, and integration. This taste of our true nature opens the possibility of a deep spiritual revolution within each person.

We will join together in a circle, hand in hand, symbolizing the unity and interconnectedness of all people. The circle represents wholeness, equality, and harmony.

All are welcome! Come as you are. If you are physically limited, we welcome you as you are, and we accommodate you as needed. In this practice, there are no performers, no audience, and no experience necessary; as each dance is taught and guided.

This will be the last opportunity to be a part of the Dances at MUCC this year! We hope to see you there!

The Doorway to Freedom

with Kelly Hepper of SACRED THREAD™

July 19, 2-4 pm

Kelly is a poet, singer-songwriter, and performer with more than 30 years of experience using music, storytelling, and creative expression to foster connection and transformation. A lifelong seeker, she now considers herself a Mystic, passionate about supporting the evolution of human consciousness through the restoration of personal sovereignty and authentic spiritual exploration.

Join us for reflection, connection, music and embodied practice inspired by the 55th Gene Key. Together, we'll explore the path from victimization to freedom by transforming our relationship to our circumstances.

Through guided inquiry, heartfelt sharing, movement, and song, we’ll create space to welcome our emotional landscape as a gateway to greater trust, authenticity, and inner liberation.

Come as you are. No experience is necessary. Bring your curiosity, your heart, and a willingness to discover the freedom that already lives within you.
