Welcome, Rev. Robert Koepcke!
A brief biography
Rev. Robert Koepcke is a second-career pastor after serving in nursing homes as a custodian, nursing assistant, and administrator. As a pastor, Robert has held a variety of positions in both the United Methodist and United Church of Christ, including as a campus minister and an intentional interim pastor. This experience, plus Robert’s degrees in religion and communications, has taught him to “seek first to understand” with close and curious attention. Simply put, Robert loves to learn—especially when it comes to music, singing, and language studies, along with most everything theatrical, earthly, and (of course) heavenly! He also loves being active, indoors or out. Want to know more? Give Robert a call at the church office or send him an email!

Once again, we proved we really are a church with heart!

Teen Youth Meeting
Sunday, January 4, 5:30-7 pm
We’re excited to kick off the new year together at our January teen group meeting on Sunday, January 4, from 5:30–7:00 PM at McFarland UCC.
This meeting is especially important for anyone planning to attend the Re-Member/Pine Ridge, South Dakota, trip, as we’ll be spending time talking through our fundraising plans for the year. We’ll go over ideas in depth, share expectations, and make space for any questions or concerns you might have.
We’ll also be:
- Brainstorming Acts of Kindness to add to our February calendar
- Going over how to use the calendar together as a group
- Checking in on mental health and well-being, including:
- What you’re most excited about in the new year
- What you might be feeling apprehensive or nervous about
And yes—there will be pizza
We’re really looking forward to being together, hearing your ideas, and starting the year grounded in community and care for one another. Please do your best to attend, especially if you plan to join the trip. Please let us know if you plan on attending so we can get a headcount for food.

Reduce/Reuse/Recycle
The NEW YEAR is a great opportunity to take stock of your daily habits—and think about how you can be more sustainable over the next 12 months. Keep it simple. Pick one area to start: use less plastic, eat less meat, walk more, shop local, reduce electricity, minimize waste in one area of your home, learn more about environmental issues, and share what you learn.
