To All Members of Manhattan University,
As we celebrate the start of a new academic year, our thoughts must turn to the tragic events that occurred in Minneapolis yesterday morning where two children were killed and 14 additional children and three adults were wounded. All this took place while the students of Annunciation School were attending Mass for the opening of their school-year.
As a parent and as an educator, I can think of nothing worse. Please take time to share an extra smile with your friends, your colleagues, and your families. Your safety is our paramount concern at all times.
I know you will join me in offering prayers to all the families of Annunciation School, particularly those families who are grieving the loss of a child. May God watch over them.
