Microsoft Go-Live December 17th – Must use Microsoft on December 17th

To the Manhattan University Community,

 

As we approach our Microsoft Go-Live on Wednesday, December 17, we want to share a few important reminders and instructions to ensure a smooth transition.

 

Before December 17

• You should have already logged into Microsoft. If you have not, please do so as soon as possible.

 

On December 17 (Go-Live Day)

• Do NOT send any email or make changes to Google Drive files between 12:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
• At approximately 7:00 a.m., we will officially switch email service to Microsoft Outlook. This process will take about an hour.
  No email will be lost.
• Please remove your Manhattan University account from:
• the Gmail app 
• the Google Drive app 
• any Gmail accounts connected to your mobile email apps
• Begin using either:
• the web version of Microsoft Outlook, or
• the Microsoft Outlook mobile app

 

When You Arrive on December 17 (9:00 a.m.)

• Sign in to Microsoft and begin using:
• Outlook (email)
• Calendar
• OneDrive
• All Shared Drives have already been moved to SharePoint, and you will find links to these shared drives within your OneDrive.

 

Important Reminder

• After 8:00 a.m., any activity in Google Gmail, Google Calendar, or Google Drive will NOT transfer to Microsoft.

 

Sync Completion

• We will complete final syncing on December 17, transferring any mail that arrived between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning.
  This process may take up to 24 hours, so we appreciate your patience.

 

Google Services Shutdown

• Once all syncing is confirmed complete, Google Gmail and Google Calendar will be turned off on December 18.
