Shortening screws

Hi all,

I need to cut down some 5mm wood screws from 25mm to 8mm or so. Do we have any tools that I'm allowed to do this with?

I know I'm not allowed to use an angle grinder at makespace, and a lot of other tools aren't allowed to be used on metal.
